This week was a productive one for me as I dove into various tasks for my Pampr internship. To kick off the week, I took some time to research different blogging software options in preparation for creating my own blog, which I plan to use throughout the semester to document my internship experience. After careful consideration, I ultimately decided to go with Wix as it offered a wide range of customization options, making it easier to put my personal touch on the blog.
My next task was to collaborate with Brady in creating a LinkedIn post to announce my acceptance of the Pampr internship and to share some information about my role. We made sure to tag all the individuals and groups who made this opportunity possible and included a brief description of my role in the post. Brady then reposted the post on both his personal LinkedIn and Pampr's LinkedIn.
I then performed a SWOT analysis of the Nantucket landscape and its impact on the Pampr industry and its competitors, including Help Me Rhonda, Nantucket Magic, Tackle your list, and Sandbox. Although I didn't delve as deeply into researching our competitors as I would have liked, I made a note to do so in the future. Despite my best efforts in identifying Pampr's strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats, I received feedback that I needed to perform another SWOT analysis, which I have scheduled for Monday.
Finally, I took on the task of identifying some guerrilla marketing strategies for Pampr's Beach Days, which aim to increase our visibility among beachgoers this summer. I also calculated the cost of necessary items such as hamburgers and hotdogs for each beach day and sourced a reliable supplier for these products. Planning events like Pampr's Beach Days has proven to be a real joy for me, and I am looking forward to sharing my excitement with Brady.
